What does the study involve ?
Study Overview
ALZEVIT aims to explore the role of the APOE, which is involved in brain ageing.
We aim to build a registry of 50,000 volunteers in France, aged 40 ans et plus,
for large-scale research into cognitive health.

You read the information and sign an online consent form
You receive a saliva collection kit at home

Who can participate in the ALZEVIT study?
ALZEVIT is open to adults living in France who wish to contribute to research on memory and genetics.Before you begin, please check that you meet all of the criteria below.
Inclusion Criteria
Reside in France
- Be aged 40 or over
Be able to read and understand the information notice and sign the consent forms
Be enrolled in a social security scheme
Exclusion Criteria
Physical, cognitive, or language condition preventing completion of study tasks
Active infection or treatments known to interfere with cognition
Confirmed substance use disorder (alcohol or drugs) in the past 24 months

How do I join the ALZEVIT study?
Join the ALZEVIT Study
A simple, fully remote process: read the information, sign the consent forms, receive your saliva kit at home, send it back — and that's it.

Information Notice + Eligibility Check
Read the information notice, then answer 3–4 questions without registration to confirm your eligibility.

Consent Forms & Electronic Signature
If you are eligible, sign the informed consent forms online (eIDAS). Your personal data will only be collected after you have given your agreement.

Form & Receipt of ORAcollect®•Dx Kit
Enter your details for shipping. You will receive the saliva kit, its instructions, and a prepaid return envelope at home.

Home Collection & Return
Perform the buccal swab in a few minutes, label it, place it in the envelope and send it back. We then analyse the APOE genotype using your pseudonymised data.
